Cupping

Cupping is an age-old technique, that as the name suggests uses cups as the main treatment approach for the body.

The cups create a suction which works like a ‘reverse massage’ in which the tissues underneath are bought up to the surface, instead of being pushed down.

The aim of cupping is to promote blood flow to the area, which in turn can promote tissue healing, as well as decreasing pain and reducing muscle tightness. Cupping may also help promote relaxation.

Our osteopath Matthew has completed extra training in cupping.
